What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic health care is a branch of the healing arts which uses a hands on approach to correct spinal problems caused by abnormal motion or position between the vertebrae. This dysfunction can cause pain and stiffness along the spine and irritation of the exiting nerves. This can lead to pain or improper function in other areas and wide ranging health problems. Many other joints in the body may also respond to this type of care.
Conditions treated Acute injuries such as those that happen in car accidents or lifting injuries need attention as soon as possible and often require intense treatment initially. Longer term problems may require less intense treatment over a longer period of time. Symptoms which often respond to care are: • Lower back pain • Trunk pain-mid back and ribs • Neck pain, jaw pain and headaches • Nerve pain, tingling or numbness in the arms or legs • Dizziness, vertigo, balance problems • Extremity pain; shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee and ankle conditions also often respond.
